RENOVATIONS: LAKE CAVALIER IN MADISON

• This was a full gut, near tear down remodel project at a home at Lake Caviler. The finished product nearly doubled the size of the old family lake house. The extensive use of cypress is seen on the exterior and interior and helps to define the lake vernacular style of architecture. Porches were incorporated on both sides of the house to welcome guest from both the street side and the lake. The garage roof was raised to add a carriage house with lake views. The interior has a large modern open floor plan connecting the kitchen dining and living rooms. The living room features a large vaulted ceiling with cypress beams, a brick fire place wall and floor to ceiling windows to capture lake views.
